habijob asked:

May I ask you what's with that "furry Moonjumper" in the game files? Was this like a placeholder for him before you came up with the actual design?

shane-frost answered:

Now this is absolutely fascinating! This is actually one of my older pictures. Rather it seems to be a negative of it. This didn’t really have anything to do with the game but then again some of characters in a few of my art pieces were used early on in the game.

Tim’s friend and the fire foxes are an example of that.

I guess maybe it was being considered for such a thing but I do not recall ever discussing this character.

It is a negative due to in UE3 (/AHIT modding tools) a white image on black background can be used to define the area for a transparent images.

The “color” is also black as a 0 constant was inserted into the “Diffuse” nod.

He could be made any color, as the white of the texture defines everything, as I said.

The two materials side to side in the modding tools, just as little showcase.

I was curious and asked, because the image is labelled “moonjumper” in the game files, and fans were making speculations about this design of “Moonjumper”.

It’s timestamp is also very early in development, heh.

Been wanting to cover this track for a long while now, seeing as it’s *criminally* underrated and has absolutely no covers out there. (It’s also the reason that I’ll be posting a MIDI of my arrangement to VGMusic within the next few days.)
This one was pretty tricky to figure out the backing chords for, and I wound up taking a fair few creative liberties, up to and including the addition of entirely new elements. In fact if you listen very closely, I added a sneaky lil reference to Eric Gleiser’s track Dance of the Fire Spirits via a certain backing instrument ;)
Anyhow I’m incredibly happy with how this cover turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy! :)

You can also listen to this track in high quality on my SoundCloud here!
